The stud
We started the Dahlsminde stud in 2005, after having fun with a impulsive purchase of a little Welsh Mountain stallion - Sondergaardens Mr. Bean (Rondeels Wiwer x Arlwydd Queen Vic) in 2003.
Wanting to breed riding ponies for children, we chose the sec. B for our future work.
2 dutch bred mares was purchased - Lovejoys Moonlight (Warmwell Pageboy x Alanwell Tamarisk) and Lintelo Gracious (Lintelo Halycon x Lintelo Gratitude), the last with a foal, Lintelo Gwen (Lintelo Gawain) by the side, and again in foal to the same sire.

At this time we chose to register our ponies at WPCS, and had our prefix registred.
Next step was the purchase of a colt, namely Clausholm Lord Jackpot, danish bred out of Clausholm Lady Jaqueline (Telynau Souza x Kenwoods Lady Jill) and by Rhydspence Squire (Douthwaite Signwriter x Llanarth Welsh Poppy) - he has now given us his first progeny, and we are rather pleased with them.

2009 was the year where the stud growed even more, we added Pennwood Senioretta (Pennwood Alakai), already imported to Denmark the year before, and last but absolutely not least - 13 year old supreme champion Moelgarnedd Dewin (Carwed Charmer x Moelgarnedd Madonna) and yearling colt Hilin Deio (Eyarth Tayma x Glansevin Garland), both imported from Sweden.
Now were looking to the future and hope we have the stock to produce welsh ponies of correct type, temperament and with movement for breeding and use.
